It is with great enthusiasm that we cordially welcome you to the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering 2028, which this year is being held in the vibrant city of Monterrey, Mexico. This congress represents a privileged space for knowledge exchange, innovation, and international collaboration around the advances that are transforming medical physics and biomedical engineering. Within the framework of Monterrey’s cultural richness, hospitality, and forward-looking vision, this meeting will be a unique opportunity to strengthen science, technology, and health globally, together promoting a healthier and more humane future.
The IUPESM World Congress 2028 will be held at CINTERMEX (Monterrey International Business Center), one of the most important trade fair venues in northern Mexico, located in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It has established itself as a benchmark in event planning, excelling in attracting and hosting medical conferences, the number of which has grown significantly in recent years. It has a maximum capacity of 18,900 people in an auditorium-style setup, 18,000 in a banquet hall, and 13,020 in a school-style setup.
CINTERMEX is located within Fundidora Park, an inclusive and multifunctional urban park offering a green, safe, and 100% free-access space that complements any conference, convention, business meeting, training, workshop, or expo. Fundidora Park is not only a symbol of Monterrey’s industrial development, but also an example of sustainability and flexibility. The ability of communities to redefine their surroundings is demonstrated by the conversion of an old steelworks facility into a cultural and green space. This urban oasis, spanning more than 142 hectares, demonstrates that harmony between industrial heritage, culture, and nature is possible. It provides residents and tourists with a unique site where the modern and the historic merge.
